The 4590 Deadlatch Paddle offers an ergonomic alternative to traditional knob or lever handles, allowing doors to be operated with ease through a simple push or pull motion.
**Functionality:**
This hardware option provides a seamless alternative to conventional door handles, enabling smooth operation of latched doors as naturally as opening an unlatched one. It is compatible with various door locking systems, including the 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches, as well as MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch and 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch solutions.
**Operation Details:**
The paddle is available in four ergonomic configurations: push left, push right, pull left, and pull right, enabling adaptability for any door orientation.
**Key Features:**
– **Paddle:** Constructed from extruded aluminum, ensuring durability and lightweight performance.
– **Escutcheons:** Made of zinc alloy with a sleek black finish, these components are securely attached to the door stile using specialized binder posts, providing robust resistance to torque in all directions.
– **Cam Plug:** Specifically designed for use with the 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches. Note that the cam plug is not suitable for the MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch or the 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch. The cam plug is firmly secured to the latch body via a cylinder set screw and is further supported by hardened steel pins that connect it to the escutcheon.
**Packaging:**
Each unit is individually boxed with necessary mounting hardware, and packages intended for the 4300, 4500, or 4900 Series Deadlatches include the cam plug for seamless installation.
