4591 Deadlatch Paddle
The 4591 Deadlatch Paddle offers an ergonomic solution, serving as a user-friendly alternative to traditional knob or lever handles, and facilitates door operation with a straightforward push or pull action.
Functionality:
This innovative hardware provides an alternative to conventional knob or lever handles, making the process of opening a latched door as effortless as an unlatched one. Simply push or pull in the direction the door swings. It is compatible with Adams Rite 4300, 4500, or 4900 Series Deadlatches, MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch, and 2190/2290 Series interconnected deadbolt/deadlatch systems.
Operation:
The deadlatch paddle is available in four configurations: push left, push right, pull left, and pull right. These settings can be adjusted in the field. Note that dogging is not applicable in the pull configuration.
Features:
- Paddle Material: Made from extruded aluminum, ensuring durability.
- Escutcheons: Constructed from zinc alloy with a black finish. They are secured to the door stile using specialty binder posts that penetrate the escutcheon, providing enhanced resistance to torque in any direction.
- Cam Plug: Designed for use with 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches. It is not compatible with the MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch or 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch. The cam plug is securely fastened in the latch body by a cylinder set screw and is additionally reinforced by hardened steel pins connecting it to the escutcheon.
