**4591 Deadlatch Paddle**
The 4591 Deadlatch Paddle offers an ergonomically-optimized solution, replacing traditional knob or lever handles with ease. It allows seamless door operation with a simple push or pull action.
**Functionality:**
This product serves as an alternative to conventional knob or lever handles, facilitating a natural opening motion for latched doors—just push or pull in the direction of the door’s swing. It’s compatible with Adams Rite series including the 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches, as well as the MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch and the 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch.
**Operation:**
Offered in four configurations—push left, push right, pull left, and pull right—the system is field-reconfigurable. Please note, dogging is not applicable when in the pull configuration.
**Product Features:**
– **Paddle:** Made from extruded aluminum for durability and lightweight performance.
– **Escutcheons:** Constructed from a zinc alloy with a black finish, they are attached to the door stile using specialized binder posts, designed to withstand torque from any direction.
– **Cam Plug:** Provided for use with the 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches. Note that it’s not suitable for the MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch or the 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch. The cam plug is secured in the latch body using a cylinder set screw and is firmly connected to the escutcheon with hardened steel pins.
