Description
The PB2E model is a spring-loaded, momentary 2″ square exit switch, designed for seamless integration on a stainless steel single gang outlet box cover. Featuring SPDT contacts, this switch activates when pressed and reverts upon release, with UL-listed contacts capable of handling up to 5 AMPs. Ideal for momentary activation of fail-safe or fail-secure electric locking mechanisms, the PB2E can be used with a release hold timer for controlled, timed unlocking. Additionally, it functions as a REX (request to exit) input for card access control systems. Prior to implementing exit switches for door egress, it is advisable to consult local building or fire safety codes. Compliance with standards may necessitate devices like the “no special knowledge” exit hardware, such as Securitron’s Touch Sense Bar.
