The Linear AKR-1 is a comprehensive keyless access control solution, perfect for commercial environments like airports, hospitals, and office buildings. The AKR-1 features an Exterior Digital Keypad with an integrated Radio Receiver, specifically crafted for secure access control systems. Housed in a durable cast aluminum enclosure, this keypad can be easily mounted to a pedestal or secured to a wall. Its die-cast keys are designed with high-visibility yellow graphics for ease of use.
This system supports the programming of up to 480 entry codes, ranging from 1 to 6 digits. These codes can be configured to operate one or both of the relay outputs. Additionally, the system accommodates up to four sets of block coded MegaCode® transmitters, managing up to 480 transmitters total for access via the built-in radio receiver. Each transmitter can be suspended or reactivated individually, with four programmable facility codes available to identify each block. A Radio Test Mode ensures transmitter functionality and helps detect radio interference. The AKR-1 does not support programming of individual, non-block coded transmitters.
Furthermore, the system is compatible with Linear’s Model MGT safety edge transmitter, which is a supervised device that detects and communicates obstacle events directly to the AKR-1 receiver. These obstacle signals trigger Relay #2, ensuring reliable safety management within access control operations.
