Description
**Overview** – KP readers integrate both keypad and proximity reader functionalities, enabling card plus PIN (or code) access control within a single device. Compatible with Switch2 and Net2 access control systems, the KP series keypads are provided with a black bezel as standard. Replacement bezels are available in black and white/gray and can be acquired at no charge for registered installers via the Extranet.
**Installation** – Installation requires wiring the reader as indicated on the control unit label. To maintain optimal read range, avoid mounting the device on metal surfaces or in close proximity to other proximity readers. The cable exits from the center at the back of the reader, ensuring precise drilling and mounting.
**Operation** – To operate, hold a token near the reader. If configured for code/PIN, the corresponding code must be entered on the keypad after the token is read. The control unit processes the information and grants or denies access, signaled by the green LED flashing for access granted or the red LED flashing for access denied.
