Description
### Overview
The Proximity readers featuring Genuine HID Technology™ are designed for integration with various access control systems, including Net2 and other third-party platforms. These readers communicate through standard cards equipped with Genuine HID Technology™ operating at 125 kHz, ensuring untruncated Wiegand data transmission. The product line includes options like the Proximity P50M reader and the metal variant, both utilizing Genuine HID Technology™.
These devices are pre-configured with 125 kHz Genuine HID Technology™, eliminating the need for additional activation licenses. While the Wiegand output requires an activation card, it’s available as a separate purchase.
The P series readers are offered exclusively with black fascias. However, replacement fascias are available for free in black and white/gray for registered installers through the Extranet.
### Installation
Each Proximity reader with Genuine HID Technology™ includes a 3-meter cable for installation, with wiring instructions specified on the control unit label. To maintain optimal read range, avoid installing the readers on metal surfaces or in proximity to other readers. Central cable exit from the rear of the reader allows for precise drilling and mounting.
### Operation
Tokens are scanned by positioning them near the reader. Upon reading, the control unit verifies the access permissions associated with the token holder. Access is granted or denied accordingly, indicated by the corresponding green (access granted) or red (access denied) LED flash.
