Overview – The Proximity readers leveraging Genuine HID Technology™ are engineered for integration with Net2 and third-party access control systems. Designed to work seamlessly with standard Genuine HID Technology™ cards, these readers operate at a frequency of 125 kHz. They ensure untruncated transmission of Wiegand card data. The product line features options such as the Proximity P50M reader and the Proximity metal reader, both incorporating Genuine HID Technology™.
Out of the box, these readers are pre-configured with 125kHz Genuine HID Technology™, eliminating the need for additional activation licenses. For Wiegand output functionality, an activation card can be purchased separately.
The P series readers are supplied with a black fascia. However, registered installers can obtain replacement fascias in black and white/gray at no cost through the Extranet.

Installation Guide – Each Proximity reader, utilizing Genuine HID Technology™, comes equipped with a 3-meter cable for easy installation, as detailed on the control unit label. Avoid mounting these devices on metallic surfaces or in proximity to other readers to maintain optimal reading range. Central cable exit from the back of the reader ensures precise drilling and installation.
Functionality – When a token enters the proximity of the reader, it is detected, prompting the control unit to verify the user’s access permissions. Based on these permissions, the system either grants or denies entry. A green LED flash indicates access granted, while a red LED flash signifies access denied.
