Overview – Proximity readers featuring Genuine HID Technology™ are designed for seamless integration with Net2 and third-party access control systems. These access control readers support standard 125 kHz cards utilizing Genuine HID Technology™, transmitting Wiegand card data without truncation. Among the offerings are the Proximity P50M reader and the Proximity metal reader, both equipped with Genuine HID Technology™.
These proximity readers are ready to use with 125 kHz Genuine HID Technology™ right out of the box, eliminating the need for purchasing an additional activation license.
For systems requiring Wiegand output, an activation card is available separately.
Installation – Proximity readers with Genuine HID Technology™ come with a 3-meter cable and can be easily connected as indicated on the control unit label. It is crucial to avoid mounting on metal surfaces or in close proximity to other access control readers, as this can impact the read range. The central cable exit from the back of the reader ensures precise drilling and mounting.
Operation – To read a token, simply hold it near the reader. Upon reading, the control system verifies the user’s access permissions and grants or denies access accordingly. A green LED indicates access granted, while a red LED signifies access denied.
