This proximity reader boasts comprehensive features, including Wiegand and RS-232 compatibility, along with an LED and annunciator, catering to both small-scale and large-scale security system integrations. The reader is designed for easy installation, accommodating either a standard single-gang electric wall-box or direct mounting on walls, whether indoors or outdoors.
Encased in a stylish dark gray enclosure, the SP-6820-GR-MP’s internal components, including the antenna, are encased in a UL-approved epoxy resin potting compound, offering protection against challenging environmental conditions. When a valid identification card or tag enters the reader’s field, its LED briefly turns amber and the beeper activates, confirming data transmission. If the card or tag remains within the reader’s detection area, the LED alternates between red and green, signifying optimal operational status.
Additionally, the reader features a re-present mode to prevent duplicate reads, requiring the removal and re-entry of the card into the field for subsequent reads.
