The pivCLASS Government Solutions suite from HID Global allows facilities to modernize their physical access control systems (PACS) to meet FIPS 201 compliance standards. The contactless R10 and R40 readers, along with their proximity-enabled variants, provide the “Controlled” assurance level as specified in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-116 guidelines. This assurance level is achieved when combined with the pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM) for single-factor authentication verification.
