Utilizing 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology, the iCLASS® RK40 offers a robust access control solution. This device supports dual identity authentication by combining a contactless card presentation with a personal identification number (PIN). It can also be configured for single-factor authentication, employing either a card or a PIN alone.
The PIN can be authenticated at the access control system or directly by the keypad reader. For local verification, the PIN must be programmed into the contactless smart card.
Designed with modern architectural appeal, the keypad reader boasts an elegantly curved faceplate. It features a 12-position weatherproof keypad with discrete switches, offering a positive tactile response complemented by an optional audible tone. Additional features include a waterproof silicone rubber boot, vandal-resistant metal keycaps, and backlit numbering.
