Description

The pivCLASS® solutions portfolio offers a comprehensive range of contact, contactless, and biometric readers designed to meet the assurance level requirements outlined in NIST SP 800-116 guidelines. These readers, when integrated with the pivCLASS® Authentication Module (PAM), can support any assurance level needed. Additionally, pivCLASS readers ensure seamless backward compatibility with existing iCLASS® and HID Prox reader systems, facilitating a smooth transition to PKI-based credentials. Facilities can connect up to two pivCLASS readers to a PAM via four-wire RS-485 connections, allowing for the reuse of much existing wiring infrastructure. Key Features include:

– Contactless reader solutions that satisfy NIST’s “Controlled” security area assurance level requirements with single-factor authentication modes such as CHUID or CAK.
– Contact reader solutions that address NIST’s “Limited” security area assurance level with two-factor authentication modes, namely PIV + PIN.
– Contact biometric (BIO) reader solutions that comply with NIST’s “Exclusion” assurance level using three-factor authentication modes: PIV + PIN + BIO.
– FASC-N reads for non-SP800-116 “uncontrolled” areas, with additional support for TWIC authentication modes such as CHUID + BIO and CAK + BIO.
– Compatibility with a wide array of card types, both contact and contactless, including PIV, PIV-I, CIV (also known as PIV-C), TWIC, FRAC, and CAC.
