This comprehensive portfolio includes a wide range of contactless, contact plus contactless, and biometric readers. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM), these readers meet the assurance level requirements outlined in NIST Special Publication 800-116 and the federal government’s FICAM E-PACS guidelines. Many pivCLASS readers can operate in either Wiegand mode or PAM mode. Wiegand mode allows for deployment without a PAM, providing a phased transition to FIPS 201 compliance. Readers can be easily converted from Wiegand mode to PAM mode in the field through firmware reconfiguration.
