Smart card systems in the OmniClass series offer seamless retrofitting with any Wiegand output reader, including standard HID® and other proximity reader formats. These advanced technologies are purpose-built for applications such as secure access control, logical (PC) access, biometric template storage, secure IDs with tamper-proof digital images, parking, ePurse transactions, and similar applications demanding secure, reliable read/write card functionality.
With the integration of HID’s Mobile Access™ platform, OmniClass now includes Bluetooth® capability, allowing a compatible smartphone to act as a credential. Readers are available in configurations that are either mobile-ready or mobile-enabled, suited for immediate to gradual mobile credential adoption.
