The OmniClass series from Honeywell offers a robust lineup of 13.56 MHz contactless secure smart card readers, delivering exceptional reliability, consistent read ranges, and ease of installation. Available in various sizes, each OmniClass reader incorporates advanced smart card technology, allowing multiple applications per card with optional mobile credential capabilities.
OmniClass readers are designed for seamless retrofitting with any Wiegand output reader, including industry-standard proximity readers. Their smart card technology is ideal for diverse applications such as access control, logical (PC) access, biometric template storage, parking management, secure IDs with tamper-proof digital photos, ePurse capabilities, and additional uses demanding secure and reliable read/write functions.
Building on HID’s Mobile Access™ platform, OmniClass now provides optional Bluetooth® functionality, which enables users to utilize compatible smartphones as credentials. Readers can be ordered as either mobile-ready (set to use mobile credentials, except mobile keys are not loaded) or mobile-enabled (mobile keys loaded and operational with mobile credentials).
**Multi-Technology Functionality**
To facilitate an effortless transition from a 125 kHz proximity card system to a smart card system, the OmniClass range includes options supporting HID Prox, EM4102, and AWID proximity technologies. These multi-technology readers operate with all technologies simultaneously, enabling gradual migration to smart cards while supporting multiple card technologies within a single building or across various facilities. They consistently deliver identical user identification data formats to the panel, ensuring a transparent experience for users.
