**Honeywell’s OmniClass Series** offers a robust solution for contactless secure smart card readers that operate at 13.56 MHz, known for their superior reliability, consistent read range, and straightforward installation process. Featuring several size options, each OmniClass reader integrates cutting-edge smart card technology, enabling multiple applications per physical card and optional mobile credential capabilities.
These readers are engineered to seamlessly replace any Wiegand output reader, including standard HID® or other proximity readers. The smart card technology is optimally designed for applications in access control, logical (PC) access, biometric template storage, parking, and secure ID forms with embedded tamper-proof digital photos, ePurse, and many other secure and reliable read/write card functionalities.
With the integration of HID’s Mobile Access™ platform, OmniClass readers now include optional Bluetooth® capabilities, allowing users to utilize compatible smartphones as credentials. You can select between mobile-ready (prepared for mobile credential use but mobile keys not loaded) and mobile-enabled (mobile keys loaded and ready for mobile credential use) configurations.
**Multi-Technology Functionality**
To facilitate an easy transition from a 125 kHz prox card system to a smart card system, the product line includes options compatible with HID Prox, EM4102, and AWID proximity technologies. These multi-technology readers simultaneously support all technologies, allowing users to gradually shift to smart cards while maintaining the use of multiple card technologies within one building or across various facilities. Whether using proximity, mobile, smart, or multi-technology credentials, the readers ensure unified data formats are sent to the panel, maintaining transparency for users.
