When selecting a housing, consider the 1.75” clearance from the top of the housing to the cam lock’s base. For the integration of flush mount devices, ensure the retention of a .5” margin on the left, right, and bottom of the door panel, preserving door jams and the weather seals they contain.
Designed for outdoor deployment, this card reader enclosure includes a 3.0” deep back box suitable for most flush-mounted devices. Every unit is treated with a rust inhibitor and powder-coated at 400°F with outdoor, polyester TGIC UV-protected powder coat finish. This creates a robust layer, protecting against scratches, rust, and UV effects.
Equipped with a weatherproof zinc-plated cam lock, a weather-tight door panel sealed with 3/8” weather stripping, and a 3.5” deep weather canopy, this enclosure safeguards your access control devices from the elements. The housing features 12 knockouts for versatile mounting on any gooseneck pedestal, bollard, or wall, along with a centered 1.8” diameter hole for seamless conduit access. The door panel is easily removable from the inside, constructed from 16-gauge steel designed for easy customization for flush mount electronics.
The sleek black finish completes the unit, which arrives fully assembled with a cam lock and key, featuring a removable door panel and a corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinge.
