A robust and economical pad mount gooseneck pedestal is ideal for curbs, entry/exit islands, and parking lots (Refer to the “Vehicle Height Chart”). This pedestal is designed to support card readers, intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, housings, and other access control devices. It’s commonly used for automatic gate entry and exit points, parking lot access, and perimeter security applications. This model features a face plate with universal hole patterns, a heavy-duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to conceal the mounting bolts at the base. Unlike some competing pedestals made from .074″ wall tubing, this model uses .120″ wall tubing (62% more steel) for increased durability against vandalism and harsh weather conditions. It has successfully passed facewind testing and can withstand sustained Category 5 hurricane winds of 157 mph.
The gooseneck is precision-bent with a tight 6″ center radius using advanced mandrel bending technology, ensuring a smooth curve without collapsing the neck’s underside. Compared to other pedestals with longer necks or loose bending tolerances, this design is the top choice for professional installers.
Additionally, each pedestal is bead-blasted to remove contaminants and blemishes before receiving a powder-coated finish with outdoor-rated TGIC polyester and UV protection for enhanced durability in any weather condition.
Every pedestal is provided with carriage bolt hardware, then wrapped in foam packaging and individually boxed for secure shipping. Customization options for colors, heights, reaches, face plates, and base plates are available, subject to additional costs and lead times.
