This versatile pedestal is perfect for mounting cameras, card readers, intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, enclosures, and other device access control solutions. It is predominantly utilized for applications related to automatic gate entry and exit, parking lots, and perimeter access.
Our pedestal features a face plate with universal hole patterns, a heavy-duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to conceal the mounting bolts securing the base. Unlike standard pedestals made from .074″ wall tubing, our model is crafted from .120″ wall tubing, incorporating 62% more steel, making it highly resistant to vandalism and harsh weather conditions. It has successfully passed our facewind testing protocol, proving its resilience against sustained Category 5 hurricane-force winds reaching 157 mph.
Constructed with a single 2″ x 2″ channel from base to top, this pedestal facilitates hassle-free wiring for both lower and upper components. Its gooseneck is precision-bent with a tight 6″ center radius using advanced mandrel bending techniques, ensuring uniform curvature without compromising the neck’s internal structure. This thoughtful design is the choice of professional installers, outperforming competing models with extended necks or less precise bending tolerances.
Our pedestal undergoes an initial bead-blasting process to remove contaminants and imperfections, followed by a powder coating with an outdoor-rated TGIC polyester finish enhanced with UV protection for improved durability in all weather conditions.
For ease of transport, each pedestal includes carriage bolt hardware, is wrapped in foam packaging, and is boxed individually to ensure safe delivery. Custom options for colors, heights, reaches, face plates, and base plates are available, though additional costs and lead times may apply.
