The pedestal’s height allows easy access without the need for drivers to retract their mirrors. It’s versatile enough to also support cameras, intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, housings, and other essential access control devices. Common installations include automatic gate entry and exit, parking lot access, and perimeter access control applications. The pedestal features a faceplate with universal hole patterns, a heavy-duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to conceal the mounting bolts securely. Unlike competitors’ products made from .074″ wall tubing, this pedestal boasts a sturdy .120″ wall tube, using 62% more steel, providing enhanced durability against vandalism and harsh weather conditions. It has successfully passed wind testing protocols, demonstrating its ability to withstand sustained Category 5 hurricane-force winds of 157 mph.
