APC Switched Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) offer sophisticated, user-customizable power management and active monitoring features for data centers and IT environments. With remote outlet-level controls, these PDUs facilitate power cycling for remote equipment reboot and help prevent unauthorized access to individual outlets. Power sequencing delays allow operators to set the order for powering up or down connected equipment, thus preventing circuit overload during power recovery and promoting uptime for mission-critical devices by prioritizing load shedding. With real-time current metering, these units provide remote monitoring of connected loads. The Switched Rack PDUs are equipped with features like real power monitoring, temperature/humidity sensor ports, locking IEC receptacles, and low-profile circuit breakers. User-defined alarms alert operators to potential circuit overloads, helping prevent critical IT failures. Operators can access, configure, and manage Switched Rack PDUs through secure Web, SNMP, or Telnet interfaces. These capabilities are further complemented by integration with APC Centralized Management platforms such as InfraStruxure Central, Capacity Manager, and Change Manager.
