The APC NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced offers robust power distribution solutions for IT equipment housed in server or networking racks. Featuring switched outlets, this advanced power distribution unit (PDU) allows for remote control of outlets, optimizing power management. It provides both outlet and PDU-level power metering for enhanced power visibility and alerts on potential overloads. Its innovative 4-in-1 combination outlets offer unprecedented deployment flexibility, accommodating C13, C19, C15, or C21 connections. Designed for maximum outlet density, it fits 42 outlets within a compact 2.2-inch wide frame. The outlets are color-coded and labeled by breaker and input phase on three-phase models to streamline deployment processes. Its alternating phase design organizes each of the three phases into smaller outlet groups from top to bottom, improving power cord management and load balancing.
The advanced power sharing feature permits PDUs to cascade using two Ethernet ports, ensuring that the Network Management Card remains operational during AC power loss, maintaining uninterrupted network communication, sensor operation, and alarm notifications. The Live Swap Network Management Card is replaceable without powering down the PDU or connected devices, significantly reducing potential downtime. With a high temperature rating, the PDU reliably operates up to 60°C (140°F) at full load, making it suitable for high-density environments. Gigabit Ethernet connectivity standardizes network access across all data center assets, with an additional 10/100 Ethernet port available for cascading to other PDUs, connecting to a secondary network, or adding network redundancy.
Boasting 1% metering accuracy, this PDU ensures reliable power usage billing and provides precise metrics for capacity planning and threshold alarm management. Additionally, two environmental sensor ports offer the option to connect extra sensors (sold separately), further enhancing monitoring capabilities.
