The AX-248C serves as a Central Exchange Unit (CEU) for the AX Integrated Audio & Video Security System, a critical component in the security industry. Master or Door Stations, supporting both Audio/Video and Audio-only formats, connect seamlessly through homerun CAT-5e cabling and RJ45 connections. This robust unit accommodates up to 8 Master Stations and 24 Door/Sub stations. The AX series allows for scalable expansion in increments of 32 to support up to 12 Door/Sub stations using AX-32C add-on CEUs, enhancing system capacity to meet diverse security needs. The CEU manages essential system functions such as calling and communication signals, selective door release outputs, video outputs, DVR trigger outputs, and CO line transfer outputs. A variety of functions and the overall system configuration are programmed within the CEU utilizing the provided software. Dual PS-242UL power supplies deliver direct power to the CEU. For system programming uploads, raw RS232 data output, or system monitoring, the CEU offers a serial connection facilitated by the supplied program.
