The system’s components are easily interconnected using Cat5 or standard RJ45 patch cables, allowing for straightforward installation that leverages existing network infrastructure. PoE technology streamlines the process by transmitting power and data through the same cable, eliminating the need for separate power supplies. For added protection, the rain hood version of the panel mounts directly on the wall, including an additional 41mm mantel to safeguard the screen and keypad from moisture. For sites with multiple entry points, multiple panels can link to a single ACU, and an additional IP camera can integrate with the Entry system for enhanced visibility and security, allowing users to switch between cameras via the Entry Monitor.
Operation is intuitive—a visitor initiates a video call using the bell button on the external panel, and access can be granted through the Entry monitor’s user-friendly touchscreen. The internal monitor supports both private calls via the handset and hands-free operation. When linked with systems like Net2 or Paxton10, users can gain access using a PIN, code, or proximity token, including MIFARE® and other available tokens. Additionally, Paxton10 offers free Bluetooth Smart Credentials for use with Entry panels, ensuring seamless and integrated access control. Entry v2.22 or later is required for full compatibility.
