Description
The EC-300 Control Module offers comprehensive system control and advanced alarm signaling capabilities, featuring both audio and visual alerts. An integrated audio amplifier delivers sound signals via a built-in speaker and external audio ports (S1, S2). The unit includes a silence button, which can mute incoming calls. This silence feature is configurable through a DIP switch, allowing it to either latch or reset after a specified time interval (2.5, 5, or 10 minutes). External ports facilitate remote monitoring, audio alerts, and common alarm annunciation interfaces. Typically, a single EC-300 Call Receiver is sufficient for the entire system, which is engineered to resist transient electrical interferences.
A standard system configuration includes components such as patient call stations, emergency call stations, a central nurse station, dome lights, and possibly central corridor horns and duty stations.
Emergency alerts are initiated from EC-103/115 Pull/Push Cord Stations, with the events visually indicated by the flashing suite dome light and corresponding suite LED on the central annunciator. The central nurse station emits a rapid pulsing alert tone and activates any connected corridor horns upon receiving an emergency call.
While all sound alerts can be muted, calls must be reset at the originating station. In the absence of a timely nurse response, the alert tones will recur after a predetermined interval.
Normal calls are initiated from Call Stations, distinguished by a slow flashing suite dome light and central annunciator LED. These calls share the same silencing functionalities as emergency calls.
With duty stations integrated, the system supports remote silencing and monitoring of alarm calls, enhancing operational flexibility.
