Description
The Ubiquiti Networks RocketM2, a 2.4 GHz 2×2 MIMO airMAX BaseStation, boasts a modular industrial design and achieves data rates of over 150 Mb/s with real TCP/IP throughput. This device is ideal for Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging or Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) airMAX networks. It operates in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz band, offering flexibility in placement, deployment, and management. Utilizing Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol, this BaseStation facilitates efficient data transmission by assigning time slots to each client through an intelligent AP controller. Despite the 2.4 GHz band being prone to congestion due to other wireless devices and limited to three non-overlapping 20 MHz channels, the RocketM2 is designed to withstand extreme conditions, seamlessly integrating with the Rocket mount on all airMAX antennas. It can be paired with a suitable antenna for PtP or PtMP network setup and includes a PoE adapter for convenient power supply.
