The HIGHWIRE Longstar offers exceptional performance by delivering a full bandwidth 100Base-T network signal and POE Plus over extended distances of standard coaxial cable. This solution ensures reliable and superior performance while significantly reducing costs, time, and risks associated with upgrading legacy analog camera systems to IP networks.
Supporting ranges of 540 to 690 meters with RG-59 cable or up to 1400 meters with RG-11 cable, the HIGHWIRE Longstar maintains the 100Base-T data rate without compromise. For even longer distances, it can automatically adjust to 10Base-T operation, enabling data transmission over approximately three times farther distances without power.
Available in models with optional POE input or output, the system can deliver up to 25 watts of IEEE 802.3at POE Plus to cameras over existing coaxial cables. Designed for easy installation, all HIGHWIRE Longstar models are fully self-configuring, operate across extended temperature ranges, and come with rugged enclosures suitable for wall-mount or high-density rack configurations.

Installation is simplified by the automatic self-configuration and optimization capabilities upon connection, eliminating the need for setup or system pairing. Embedded LEDs enable easy monitoring of data and power connections during installation. The integrated SafeView™ technology offers instant feedback on link status, power levels, and diagnostic information.

While optimized for 75 Ohm cable, the HIGHWIRE Longstar can also function effectively over 50 Ohm cable, maintaining full performance with only a slight reduction in maximum achievable distance.
**POE – Reliable and Simple**
POE-enabled models allow all necessary power for the connection to be sourced from a POE switch, POE injector, or power supply. This simplifies installation and provides the option for UPS-backed power delivery, ensuring high resilience against potential grid power failures.
