The HIGHWIRE Longstar is a cutting-edge solution that delivers a full 100Base-T network signal and PoE Plus across extensive lengths of standard coaxial cable. This technology ensures top-tier performance and reliability while significantly reducing the cost, time, and risk associated with upgrading legacy analog camera systems to IP-based solutions.
It supports ranges between 540 to 690 meters with RG-59 cable and can extend up to 1400 meters with RG-11, all without sacrificing the 100Base-T throughput. For even greater distances, the system can automatically switch to 10Base-T mode, allowing data transmission at roughly three times the distance with data-only connections. Models featuring optional PoE in or out can supply the full 25 watts of 802.3at PoE Plus to cameras via existing coaxial infrastructure.
