The cost-effective AtlasIED 140-18 rack cabinet offers a professional-grade solution for equipment housing, featuring dimensions of 22 5/16″ in width and 18 1/2″ in depth with a vertical panel capacity of 40RU. Built from durable 16-gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS), this cabinet incorporates essential components including a sturdy base, top panel, side panels, and a removable rear door equipped with a secure cylinder lock and flush handle.
For enhanced installation flexibility, it presents a 6RU opening at both the top and bottom, which can be left open for cable management or airflow, or closed with optional vented or solid panels. The rear door, designed for convenience, includes quick-release spring hinges allowing a 180° rotation for left or right-hand opening. If an additional front door is specified, it features a distinct locking mechanism for increased security.
The precision-tapped 10-32 rack rails are recessed by 11/16″ (17.5mm) and marked with RU indicators for precise equipment alignment, offering standard EIA-compliant 5/8″-5/8″-1/2″ spacing. Conduit arrays on the top, bottom, and back panels incorporate five knockouts, with three 1″ (25mm) and two 1/2″ (13mm) x 3/4″ (19mm) concentric holes, while surface panels provide two 1″ (25mm) and two 1/2″ (13mm) x 3/4″ (19mm) knockouts.
Perforated vents are strategically placed on all sides and the rear door to maximize thermal convection. The cabinet’s surfaces undergo a phosphate pre-treatment to ensure optimal paint adhesion, finished with a textured black epoxy coat for a sleek, professional appearance.
