The budget-friendly Atlas Sound 235-18 equipment cabinet is engineered for efficiency in the AV industry. With a width of 22 5/16″, a depth of 18 1/2″, and offering 35RU vertical panel spaces, this cabinet enhances your rack-mount setup. It includes a pair of sturdy 11-gauge CRS adjustable mounting rails. Constructed from durable 16-gauge CRS, the series features a base, top panel, side panels, mounting rails, and a removable rear door equipped with a cylinder lock and a flush door pull handle.
This rack cabinet offers several installer-friendly features, such as an expanded 6RU opening on the top and bottom. This allows for wire access or ventilation but can also be closed using standard vent or solid panels. The rear doors, included with all models, are mounted with quick-release spring hinges for easy 180° rotation, providing flexibility for right- or left-hand opening. Additionally, an optional front door can be ordered with a different key for enhanced security.
The precision-tapped 10-32 rack rails are recessed 11/16″ (17.5mm) and come with convenient RU indicator marks for easy equipment alignment, maintaining standard E.I.A. 5/8″-5/8″-1/2″ spacing. Conduit arrays are strategically included on both the top and bottom surface panels, as well as on top and bottom back flanges. Flange arrays consist of five knockouts each, offering three 1″ (25mm) standard, and two 1/2″ (13mm) x 3/4″ (19mm) concentric options. Surface arrays are designed with four knockouts, featuring two 1″ (25mm) standard and two 1/2″ (13mm) x 3/4″ (19mm) concentric options.
For optimal airflow, stamped, perforated vents are integrated on all sides and on the rear door, promoting maximum air convection. The cabinet surfaces undergo a phosphate pre-treatment to ensure excellent paint adhesion for the textured black epoxy finish, providing a sleek and durable aesthetic to the AV installation environment.
