This innovative design features automatic electronic current limiting within each rack-mountable module, rather than within the main power supply unit. This ensures that in the event of a major fault in any module, only the affected module will shut down, allowing other modules in the rack to continue operating without interruption. This contrasts with many competitor designs, where a major fault leads to the power supply unit entering a current limiting state, causing a shutdown of all modules. The automatic current limiting feature in Hanwha Techwin’s design is self-resetting, accommodating temporary or intermittent faults effectively.
