Description
The MS-5UD-3E and MS-10UD-7E are advanced fire alarm control panels (FACPs) designed for small to medium-sized commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. The MS-5UD-3E supports five zones, while the MS-10UD-7E accommodates ten zones, offering robust fire signaling protection. Both fire control panels are equipped with built-in communicators for Central Station Service and remote configuration.
These FACPs integrate seamlessly with System Sensor’s i3 series detectors, providing intelligent detection capabilities. The conventional smoke detectors feature maintenance trouble signals, alerting the need for cleaning, and a supervisory “freeze” signal if temperatures become excessively low. The MS-5UD-3E and MS-10UD-7E are also compatible with conventional input devices like two- and four-wire smoke detectors, manual pull stations, waterflow indicators, tamper switches, and other normally-open contact devices. Please refer to the FireLite Device Compatibility Document for a comprehensive list of compatible devices.
The outputs of these fire alarm systems include four Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs), three programmable Form-C relays (defaulted to Alarm, Trouble, and Supervisory settings), and both resettable and nonresettable 24 VDC power outputs for special applications. They continuously monitor all wiring, AC power, battery states, and telephone line integrity.
Activation of any associated smoke detector or normally-open fire alarm initiating device triggers audible and visual alarms, illuminates an LED indicator, sounds the internal piezo, activates the communicator and alarm relay, and can engage an optional module for remote station notification or auxiliary control.
New capabilities include a UL-approved printer, model PRN-6F, and FireLite’s IPDACT Internet Monitoring module. The FireWatch Series IPDACT-2 and IPDACT-2UD modules enable internet-based alarm signal monitoring, reducing costs by eliminating the need for dual telephone lines. However, an optional secondary phone line can be maintained for redundant communication.
NOTE: The MS-5UD-3E and MS-10UD-7E offer identical features to the MS-5UD-3 and MS-10UD-7, with the added option of 240 VAC connection. Unless specified otherwise, the details provided apply to both 120 VAC and 240 VAC models.
NOTE: For ULC-listed models, consult document DF-60440.
