Description
The ISO-6(A) Six Fault Isolator Module is designed to maintain the operation of a communications loop by providing six equivalent circuits that remain functional in the event of a short circuit. Featuring an amber LED indicator, it blinks during normal operation for each input and stays lit during a short circuit. The module automatically restores normal loop conditions once the short is resolved. As an automatic switch, it opens the circuit when line voltage falls below four volts. For optimal protection, isolator modules should be placed between clusters of sensors or devices within a loop. In case of a short circuit between any two isolators, both switch to an open circuit state, effectively isolating the affected section while ensuring uninterrupted operation of the remaining units in the loop.
