Description
The SK-ZONE is a sophisticated two-wire interface module designed for integration with fire alarm control panels (FACPs), specifically those within the Honeywell Silent Knight Series. This module enables FACPs to connect and monitor conventional two-wire smoke detectors effectively.
Functioning through the signaling line circuit loop of the FACP, the SK-ZONE communicates the status of a full zone of two-wire detectors back to the FACP, detailing conditions as normal, open, or alarm. It provides supervision over detector zones and external power supply connections. All connected two-wire detectors must be UL-certified for compatibility with the SK-ZONE.
INSTALLATION
The SK-ZONE is designed to fit directly into a standard 4″ square electrical box with a minimum depth requirement of 2-1/8″. A surface mount electrical box, such as the System Sensor PN SMB500, is also compatible for installation.
