Description

The FireLite® SWIFT® addressable pull station is a dual-action, manual pull station featuring a key-lock reset mechanism, designed to offer one addressable alarm initiation input. With an aesthetic and durable build akin to its wired version, this pull station seamlessly integrates into any environment. It communicates with the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) via the SWIFT mesh network and gateway, powered by four batteries, boasting a 2-year, UL-listed battery life.

Installation is efficient, utilizing a mounting plate for surface mounting. Once secured to the wall, the pull station is easily snapped into place and locked down with three screws.

The mechanical design is straightforward for use during emergencies, employing a PUSH IN/PULL DOWN handle that latches in the down position to signal activation, while the word “ACTIVATED” appears prominently in bright yellow to indicate operation.

This wireless pull station adheres to the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) and meets the ADA’s requirement for a 5-pound maximum pull force, aligning with ANSI/UL Standard 38.

The SWIFT wireless system provides intelligent (addressable) devices, ensuring secure and reliable communication with the FACP over a Class A mesh network. Wireless solutions are ideal for applications where traditional wired devices may be challenging due to high costs (e.g., concrete walls/ceilings, buried wires), unsightly installations (e.g., surface mount conduit), or potential hazards (e.g., asbestos). This system allows both wired and wireless devices to interface with the same FACP, supporting a cohesive wired-wireless integration for enhanced installation versatility.

In the SWIFT system’s mesh network, a child-parent relationship among devices ensures each device has two parents, offering an alternative communication path. This redundancy ensures continued communication among devices, directly or through intermediate devices, even if one device fails. After initial network setup, mesh restructuring automatically optimizes communication paths.

The SWIFT system incorporates frequency hopping to avert potential system interference, whether intentional or accidental. Each device adheres to FCC part 15 rules, meaning it can’t cause harmful interference and must accept any interference received, even if it leads to undesired operation.
