The DPS-W and DPS-M Concealed Door Position Switches are essential components for security applications, designed for effective door status monitoring and triggering security systems. These switches are integral in providing an initiate signal to delay exit logic timers and door prop logic timers in security systems.
DPS-W Concealed Door Position Switch for Wood Doors
Installation requires drilling a 3/4″ (19mm) diameter hole in both the door and frame, directly opposite each other. This Normally Closed switch (SPST) operates effectively within a distance range of 1/2″-3/4″ (12-18mm) depending on the door type and the gap. It includes a magnetic switch and a cylindrical permanent magnet.
DPS-M Concealed Door Position Switch for Metal Doors
Similarly, the DPS-M style requires drilling a 3/4″ (19mm) diameter hole in both the door and frame directly opposite one another. The inclusion of a large magnet is necessary to overcome the shielding effect of metal doors. This Normally Closed switch (SPST) also works within the 1/2″-3/4″ (12-18mm) distance range. It comes with a magnetic switch and a cylindrical permanent magnet.
