The B465 Conettix Universal Dual Path Communicator serves as a crucial component in security and fire alarm systems by transforming Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) digital dialer signals or dry contact outputs from intrusion or fire control panels into IP signals. These signals can then be transmitted via Ethernet or cellular networks, ensuring robust communication pathways. This communicator is UL 864 10th Edition approved in accordance with NFPA 72 version 2013 standards, underscoring its reliability and compliance in safety applications.
Equipped with a built-in Ethernet connection, the module also offers the option of integrating a Conettix plug-in cellular module (B440/B441/B442/B443) for enhanced connectivity, enabling reliable report transmission to central station receivers. Notably, installing the B465 does not require changes to the existing automation programming of the supported control panel, streamlining the transition from PSTN to IP communication. At the central station, all messages generated by the B465 are displayed in Contact ID format, ensuring clear and understood reporting.
In terms of power requirements, the module can be supported by a 16.5 VAC transformer or a 24 VDC power supply, contributing to its versatility in different installation scenarios.
