Description
The Universal Dual Path Communicator is an industry-standard device designed to convert Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) digital dialer or dry contact outputs from intrusion/fire control panels into IP signals, facilitating transmission over Ethernet or cellular networks. This communicator is approved according to the UL 864 10th Edition under NFPA 72 standards, 2013 version. It utilizes a built-in Ethernet connection and can be enhanced with an optional plug-in cellular module (models B440/B441/B442/B443) to relay reports to a central station receiver efficiently. The installation process is streamlined, as automation programming for supported control panels remains unchanged with this module, ensuring a seamless transition from PSTN to IP systems. Messages generated by the communicator are delivered in Contact ID format to the central station. The module is versatile in its power options, operable with either a 16.5 VAC transformer or a 24 VDC power supply.
