Description
The AL-IME2-PIE Expander enhances the reach of wireless security networks by plugging into a standard AC outlet, extending the coverage of the Generation 2 Gateway by approximately 100 feet. It is primarily used to boost signal strength in areas with insufficient coverage, enabling effective communication with wireless locks or clusters of locks. This expander is compatible with the Generation 2 AL-IME2 Series Gateway and can be integrated into existing systems with older gateways, provided at least one Generation 2 Gateway is active and online. The AL-IME2-PIE Expander offers a cost-effective solution, reducing both equipment and labor expenses compared to traditional gateways and expanders. With its user-friendly “Plug and Play” setup, the network automatically recognizes new expanders and optimizes wireless signal paths. Up to seven expanders can be linked to each Generation 2 Series Gateway, and each group—comprising one gateway and up to seven expanders—can be managed within one of 99 addressable network groups.
