**Minimize False Alarm Dispatches with the PC5950 Universal 2-Way VOX Audio Verification Solution**
The PC5950 audio verification module enhances security systems by facilitating direct communication between homeowners and monitoring station operators. This functionality allows occupants to explain emergencies directly, aiding in the validation of alarms and minimizing unnecessary dispatches.
The system employs hands-free, 2-way VOX audio communication and a push-to-talk feature, utilizing strategically placed microphones and speakers across up to four locations within the premises.
Designed for seamless integration, the PC5950 installs easily into DSC or non-DSC control panels. When connected to a DSC panel, it can be programmed via a DSC keypad. For non-DSC panels, programming is achieved through a touchtone phone.
Users can remotely monitor their properties using a telephone, with security ensured as monitoring stations can only listen in following an alarm.
**How it Works**
The PC5950 supports audio verification by enabling monitoring stations to listen through microphones and communicate via speakers, aligning with SIA false alarm reduction standards. Remote audio monitoring can also be initiated by users via touchtone phone.
**Phone Key and Mode Key Options**
The PC5950 interfaces with PowerSeries control panels via the KEYBUS and connects to non-DSC panels through the Bell output and a programmable output (PGM). The module’s talk/listen-in options are configurable by the monitoring station using telephone keys (1-9) and (*), offering features such as:
– High-gain talk-to-all: Connects the monitoring station to all speakers at a high volume.
– Two-way VOX mode: Allows automatic toggling between “listen” and “talk” via voice switch.
– Disconnect and call-back: Ends the session and initiates a call-back window for resumption.
– Zone select: Activates microphone inputs by zone for targeted listen-in sessions.
