The SL-350QDM is an advanced 100m outdoor active infrared (AIR) hardwired beam system specifically engineered for perimeter security applications. This state-of-the-art quad beam set offers four selectable channels, making it ideal for integration in beam towers. Key features include dual modulation and automatic power adjustment, ensuring dependable signal transmission between the receiver and transmitter, even under strong sunlight or adverse weather conditions. For seamless connectivity, it can be integrated into an IP network when paired with the IP/POE module PIE-1. Achieving optimal performance of these active beams requires precise alignment between the transmitter and receiver. The SL-350QDM chassis is designed with vivid yellow coloration for enhanced visibility and includes the “Sniper Viewfinder” — a telescopic lens that doubles the magnification of the beam distance. A built-in sound gauge in the receiver aids in validating the precise optical alignment. Additionally, both the transmitter and receiver are equipped with five LEDs, providing a clear indication of the received signal strength from poor to excellent. The robust IP65-rated housing of the SL-350QDM is crafted to withstand water and dust exposure, featuring dual hoods over the upper and lower beams to prevent frost accumulation, which could potentially disrupt signal integrity. Constructed from UV-resistant polycarbonate, the enclosure prevents deterioration from ultraviolet light, ensuring consistent transparency for the infrared beams over time. Furthermore, the light disturbance compensation circuit within the beams effectively distinguishes the beam signal from other external light sources. This system is ideally suited for various applications, including perimeter security, roof or ceiling monitoring, garden protection, and driveway surveillance.
