The HX-80NAM is a high-performance, outdoor passive infrared (PIR) detector designed with advanced Anti-Masking technology, essential for maintaining stability and reliability in outdoor security applications. One of the critical factors for a dependable outdoor PIR sensor is its ability to accurately differentiate between a human and a small animal. This is achieved through the exclusive pyro element that allows the HX series to offer a precise detection pattern, enhancing human detection accuracy while minimizing false alarms.
Additionally, the HX-80NAM incorporates dual curtain PIR technology and 20 detection zones using ‘AND’ detection pattern logic, where both upper and lower detection areas must be activated to trigger an alarm. This sophisticated approach reduces false alarms often caused by pets or smaller animals. The detection range of the HX-80NAM can be customized to prevent unnecessary detection, with short-range zones capable of being masked when required. By adjusting the detection scope, the risk of false alarms from movements such as vehicles or animals outside the designated area is significantly reduced.
