The LC-224 is a state-of-the-art digital PIR detector, setting a new standard in detection accuracy for the security industry compared to conventional detectors that utilize analog PIR and digital processing. It achieves superior quality and detection efficiency through lenses crafted with advanced LODIFF technology and POLY IR materials. To streamline installation and reduce setup time, the LC-224 is equipped with built-in EOL resistors that are compatible with PowerSeries Neo and PRO control panels. Alternatively, installers can opt to use their own resistors to ensure compatibility with other hardwired control panels in the security ecosystem. The security of the system is further enhanced by the dual tamper protection, safeguarding against both case opening and wall detachment. As a dual technology detector, the LC-224 integrates a PIR sensor and a microwave sensor, working concurrently to minimize false alarms, especially in challenging environments. Both sensors must detect motion to trigger an alarm, but for added flexibility or special requirements, the detector can alarm based on input from a single sensor (either PIR or Microwave). It also offers an automatic mode where five microwave detections within 60 seconds will activate an alarm, irrespective of the PIR sensor’s status. Additionally, the detector features a Form C relay, which allows it to switch from Normally Closed to Normally Open, enhancing its versatility in security applications.
