The VXI series represents our top-performing outdoor intrusion detection sensor range, designed for optimal approach detection in both residential and commercial environments. With a detection range of up to 12 meters, these sensors provide reliable protection. Mounted at approximately 1.2 meters, each sensor utilizes dual PIR technology to create a double-layered detection zone that activates only when both layers detect activity. This design makes the VXI sensors animal-friendly and reduces false alarms through advanced digital analysis.
The VXI-R model is the standard battery-powered option. It features a digital microprocessor that analyzes infrared emissions to distinguish human motion from other sources like sunlight, animals, swaying vegetation, or weather conditions, ensuring high reliability by minimizing false alarms.
The VXI sensors offer customizable detection coverage, with adjustable detection lengths of 12m, 8.5m, 6m, 5.5m, or 2.5m, allowing them to adapt to various site configurations. They also include pre-cut masking templates to refine detection areas and focus only on critical zones.
In terms of convenience, the VXI-R sensor supports numerous universal battery types, such as CR123, CR2, and 1/2 AA. Its housing is compatible with most wireless radio transmitters on the market, making it easy to integrate a VXI sensor into environments like sheds, garages, or other outbuildings by connecting it to an existing wireless alarm panel.
