The PC5950 Universal 2-Way VOX Audio Verification Module empowers homeowners to directly communicate with monitoring station operators during incidents, allowing them to clarify the nature of alarms and significantly diminish false alarm dispatches.
This advanced security solution offers hands-free, two-way instantaneous audio communication via VOX as well as a push-to-talk feature. Equipped with microphones and speakers in up to four locations on the premises, the module enhances surveillance capabilities.
Featuring a user-friendly and adaptable installation process, the PC5950 can seamlessly integrate into DSC main control panels and be configured using a DSC keypad. For non-DSC control panels, programming can be accomplished through a touchtone phone. Homeowners can conveniently oversee their property through a phone call, with monitoring stations given listening access only in the event of an alarm for privacy assurance.
**Functionality Overview**
The PC5950 enables talk/listen-in functionality for audio verification alarms, facilitating the monitoring station to audit microphones and engage with occupants via speakers, adhering to SIA false alarm reduction standards. Remote audio monitoring can also be initiated by the user using a touchtone phone.
**Telephone and Mode Key Options**
The PC5950 connects to PowerSeries control panels through the KEYBUS. It can also be adapted for non-DSC control panels using the Bell output and a programmable output (PGM). Telephone keys (1-9) and (*) allow monitoring station operators to select talk/listen-in options. Notable options include:
– High-gain talk-to-all: Connects the monitoring station to all speakers at high volume.
– Two-way VOX: Links the station to all speakers and active microphones with an automatic toggle between “listen” and “talk” modes.
– Disconnect and call-back window: Temporarily ends the session, offering an option to resume it later if programmed.
– Zone select: Activates a microphone input for a specified zone for listen-in sessions, reverting to the previous state if no microphone is present.
