The summing cable is designed to merge a stereo unbalanced signal into a mono unbalanced signal seamlessly. Featuring a 3′ (1 m) cable with dual Male RCA connectors, it employs an internal resistor network to combine these signals into a single three-position Phoenix/Euro Style connector compatible with the input and output impedance of most audio systems. This cable addresses a common challenge faced in commercial audio installation, where mixer amplifiers often lack sufficient stereo summed inputs for devices like CD, DVD, and tape players, or DSS receivers. However, many mixer sections still have available mono mic/line inputs. By utilizing an active summing box or the AtlasIED passive unbalanced summing cable, these unused inputs can be effectively leveraged to fulfill your audio installation needs.
