AtlasIED offers an 8″ Blind-Mount speaker enclosure system, designed under U.S. Patent # 4,673,149, which provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for secure loudspeaker installations in retrofit ceiling applications. This system includes all necessary installation hardware, featuring a specialized support mechanism with mounting ears that extend outward from the enclosure. These ears can vertically adjust to fit ceiling thicknesses ranging from 1/2″ (13mm) to 1 3/8″ (35mm). Constructed from CRS, each unit is equipped with torsion-spring receptacles for the quick fitting of torsion-spring grilles, and J-Nuts for easy surface-mounting grille installation. The enclosure backplates come with three 1/2″ (13mm) conduit knockouts to facilitate cable access, and they are lined with sound damping material to reduce metallic resonance.
