The Model FA97-6 is designed for quick and easy installation in plaster, drywall, or suspended tile ceilings up to 2-3/8″ thick, using three adjustable rotating clamps that secure in place with a screwdriver. This enclosure supports seamless front-loading of the Strategy Series 6″ diameter speaker Models FA136 and FA116 by AtlasIED. The direct mounting method eliminates load-bearing from the grille, enabling the use of welded studs for simple, push-on grille installation. This design not only saves time but also ensures a sleek, hardware-free appearance, and allows for easy grille removal for painting and maintenance. The FA97-6 enables the high-performance coaxial FA136 speaker to reach its full potential, making this speaker/enclosure combination ideal for applications demanding high-fidelity music and clear speech. Key features include an acoustically treated enclosure for Strategy I speakers, depth that supports extended low-frequency response, and flip-tab dog ears for ceiling installations up to 2-3/8″ thick. The recessed lip in the opening directly mounts the speaker to the enclosure, creating a sealed system. Tubular spring clips on the flanged face accommodate ribbed weld studs on Strategy I grills. The system is UL1480 and UL2043 listed, suitable for general signaling and plenum ceiling applications where performance and safety are essential.
