Description
The Model FAPR-8 plaster ring is specifically designed for seamlessly mounting Strategy Series 8″ speakers in ceiling and wall installations, particularly in scenarios where an enclosure is not practical or desired. Constructed with the same internal mounting flange as the FA97-8 and FA95-8 enclosures, this plaster ring is compatible with non-transformer equipped speaker models for installations with a minimum wall depth of 3 1/2″ (similar to SD72, an upgrade for the discontinued FA118) or 4″ (as with FA138). It also supports the installation of transformer-equipped speaker models in walls with at least a 6 1/2″ depth, accommodating models such as the SD72 or FA138, with measurements taken from the front of the mounting surface to the back of the inside mounting area. Fabricated from galvanized steel, the plaster ring includes four threaded inserts for speaker mounting and three stud receptacles for attaching Strategy Series grilles. Its mounting system features three rotating clamps, which are included. The cutout dimension for the installation is 9 3/4″.
